I’m so impressed with the way that our society is responding to the lack of accountability for domestic violence abusers. I would like to remind everybody that relationship abuse is not limited to acts of physical violence and can happen to absolutely anybody. Don’t suffer in silence if you find yourself in this situation. There are so many resources and people who want to help. And if you know somebody who is a victim of relationship abuse, it is your obligation to do what you can to help them. You can’t make somebody leave their abusive situation but you can show them that they are not alone, that you care about what happens to them, and to try to show them where they can go for help.

Give yourself permission to immediately walk away from anything that gives you bad vibes. There is no need to explain or make sense of it. Just trust what you feel.

An engagement is such a (relatively) short period of transition in life and I have been determined to make the most out of ours.
The other night while I was watching one of the many tv shows featuring brides searching for the perfect dress, Nathan glanced up from the computer to comment that a particular dress was really ugly. I asked him with a hurt look on my face, “Do you really think that’s ugly?” implying that my dress might be similar. He looked at me with fear in his eyes, obviously searching for words that might salvage the situation of having just told his fiancée that her wedding dress is ugly.
And then I burst into hysterical laughter and reassured him that my dress looks nothing like the ugly one on tv.
I’m still laughing.

It honestly breaks my heart to think that somewhere in the world right now, Jennifer Lawrence (in addition to multiple other women) may very well be crying her eyes out because her privacy has been greatly compromised in one of the most awful ways possible. This is so fucking disgusting and whoever did this is a fucking low-life pig.
